The Directors, Barry and Deidre Dubin are a husband and wife team who have lived and worked in Santa Barbara since 1977. They received their Master's degrees at the Marianne Frostig Center for Educational Therapy given through Mount St. Mary's College. They have been instructors for the Special Education Master's degree, and teaching credential programs at Cal Lutheran and UCSB, and have established clinics and training centers in Mexico.
Deidre Dubin is currently the study group leader for the Santa Barbara chapter of the Association for Educational Therapists.
The Dubin Learning Center was established in Santa Barbara in 1979 to serve families and children with Learning Differences, Dyslexia, and Attention Deficit Disorder. In the subsequent years their work has expanded to include the use of computers, tutoring for children with no learning disabilities, test preparation, and preparation for college-bound students.
